Troop 374, along with the entire Scouting movement, takes Youth Protection very seriously. We know that you love your son and would never want anything bad to happen to him. Neither do we. In an effort to ensure the safety of all scouts in our troop, as well as any other scouts and children that may participate with us in activities, Troop 374 has adopted the following policy:

In order to protect our Scouts, their siblings, and all other children in our community, Scouts BSA Troop 374 requires all adults involved in our troop take Youth Protection Training and provide a copy of their certificate to the Scoutmaster. This applies to all leaders, parents, and volunteers involved in Troop 374.

Youth Protection Training is online training that takes about 60 minutes to complete. In this training, you will learn about the Youth Protection policies of BSA, how to spot abuse, and how to handle and report violations of Youth Protection. There is no cost to take Youth Protection Training, and it can be taken by anyone, whether or not you are a registered adult.
