The Principles of Scouting
Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America have helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Scouting.
Beginning in 2018, girls will be given these same opportunities to explore the outdoors and earn adventure loops in their own all-girl dens within the pack.
Here are the rules all Scouts live by:
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
And to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is
Cub Scout Motto
Do Your Best!
Boy Scout Motto
Boy Scout Slogan
Do a Good Turn Daily!
The Outdoor Code
As an American, I will do my best to
Be clean in my outdoor manners,
Be careful with fire,
Be considerate in the outdoors, and
Be conservation minded.
The Colors of Scouting
|The Cub Scout colors are blue and gold. They have special meaning, which will help boys see beyond the fun of Cub Scouting to its ultimate goals. |
The blue stands for truth and spirituality, steadfast loyalty, and the sky above.
The gold stands for warm sunlight, good cheer, and happiness.
